I present my candidature for a second term as Vihiga County Governor from August 2022 to 2027. It has been a rare and fulfilling opportunity to serve as your Governor for the period from August 2017 to 2022. My second bid and plan as Governor of Vihiga County is anchored on my ambition and vision to institutionalize and strengthen good governance systems of the County Government of Vihiga. I am also committed to implement impactful development projects and programs that will transform and better the lives of the people of Vihiga County. The 2022-2027 County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP), which will be developed in a public participatory process, will be finalized and officially commissioned for implementation latest October 2022. The plan will focus on implementing projects at ward level as well as identification and implementation of flagship projects and programs at sub-County and County levels. To ensure quality implementation of projects and value for money, monitoring and evaluation will be strengthened both at ward and County levels.
